Make a new game


Things brought in to play with where:

A compass – maybe used for measuring something, as a weapon or used to draw something.

A standard pack of cards – usual card games

A blackjack electronic game – a number generator


First idea

The cards are stuck onto a dart board (which has to be supplied by the player) and the electronic game chooses a number at random which the user has to hit by throwing the compass. The player with the most accurate throwing skill is the winner.

Second idea

The compass is used to create a target. The target has five rings, with the middle one giving the most points as the cards are multiplied to create points. If a bull’s eye is hit then the card is multiplied by 5 times its original value. Again the blackjack game is used to pick a random card which is the one the player throws on their go.

Third idea

The cards are laid face down on a table or floor and the idea is to remember where the cards are that your opponent has already picked up. The blackjack game is used to generate the number again and the player has to try and locate (by memory) where the combination is on the table/floor. If however a player does get the combination right, he/she is able to stab the other players with the compass. The player who bleeds first is the looser. This goes on until every player, but one is eliminated.

The advisory rating for this game is 8+ with the supervision of an adult.

A standard pack of playing cards
A standard packet of plasters


A computer generated version of the game;

The game would be produced using Flash and would be available to play over the internet. The game could be part of a chat room and to invite people, you invite the people who you are chatting to.

On screen would be how ever many hands relating to the number of players. One hand for each person lay on a table. A compass in the middle of the table and the cards jumbled. Obviously the card generation would have to be on screen with a random output. When a player succeeds with choosing the correct cards, the compass is floated to him and he/she is able to stab the other contestants, only once. The graphics would be over the top with squirting blood out of the hands, this would mean that after so many stabbings, and then that player becomes eliminated until there is a winner.
